The Fulton County Sheriff’s Department in conjunction with the Salem Police Department, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Department of Community Corrections Dog Team and Probation/Parole, Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Izard County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest of more than 10 individuals as part of a Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Investigation.

On Aug. 30, Narcotics Investigator Blair Ables FC-5and Fulton County Sheriff Joe Boshears released partial results of the investigation.

A round-up arrest took place Aug. 15 and 16 during which 13 individuals were arrested and charged for drug related crimes with more to come. 

According to the release the following individuals have been arrested and charged: 53-year-old Jana Parnell of Mountain home has been charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a class Y felony, possession of methamphetamine, a class C felony, possession of drug paraphernalia a class D felony and possession of firearms by certain persons a class B felony; 55-year-old Aaron Guptill of Salem has been charged with possession of firearms by certain persons, a class B felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony; 36-year-old Brian Guptill of Salem has been charged with possession of firearms by certain persons a class B felony; 37-year-old Derek Rogers of Mammoth Spring has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia a class D felony and petition to revoke probation; 36-year-old Brienna Baney of Horseshoe Bend has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony; 40-year-old LaTisha Smithee of Salem has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class C felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony and possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony; 74-year-old David Pardue of Salem has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony, possession of drug paraphernalia a class D fleony and placed on a parole hold; 61-year-old Vickie Edminson of Salem has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony; 40-year-old Clifton Burrows of Horseshoe Bend has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class C felony; 39-year-old Brandy Gibson of Mammoth Spring has been charged with possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance, a class D felony; 26-year-old Courtney Burk has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, a class D felony; 44-year-old Ernest Alamaguer of Salem has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony and 35-year-old Jessica Hahn has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony.

“Over the past year, officers have been conducting numerous drug investigations,” the release said. “The investigations couldn’t have been done without our officers’ and assisting agencies’ hard work and dedication. More arrests are expected to come.”
