The Izard County Cougars defeated the Mammoth Spring Bears, 70-47, in the 1A Region 2 Tournament at Brockwell. The Cougars (24-6) were led by Coby Everett with 28 points. Gunner Gleghorn added a dunk and 17 points, and Caleb Faulkner scored 14. Noah Everett contributed 9 and Isaac Lung 2. With this win, the Cougars clinched their 8th straight state tournament berth.
The Izard County Cougars will play in the 1A Region 2 Tournament on Friday, March 5 @ 7 PM. This event is a mobile entry event. Tickets must be presented on a smart phone for entry; neither screenshots nor printed tickets will be accepted. ICC parents, student body, and patrons are invited to use the link below to purchase tickets. There is a four ticket per transaction limit on the sales. Tickets must be purchased for ages 5 and up.
