Horseshoe Bend, AR — The Horseshoe Bend Chamber of Commerce is rebranding as the Horseshoe Bend Economic Development Council (HBEDC) to more clearly reflect its mission and strategic focus on economic development and tourism in Horseshoe Bend.

The HBEDC will concentrate on long-term, outcome-driven initiatives, including:

Grant development and funding opportunities

Business recruitment, retention, and support

Strategic tourism development

Advocacy for a business-friendly Horseshoe Bend

This transition allows for a clearer distinction between complementary community organizations serving different but equally important roles.

The HBEDC would like to thank Brandon Billingsley for his work in helping form and bring into compliance the Izard County Area Chamber (formerly the Horseshoe Bend Area Chamber and doing business as the Horseshoe Bend Area Chamber of Commerce). The Izard County Area Chamber (AREA) will continue its focus on community events, parades, parties, and festivals, including Dogwood Days and similar celebrations that strengthen civic life and community spirit.

Going forward:

Izard County Area Chamber (AREA) will focus on events, festivals, and community celebrations.

Horseshoe Bend Economic Development Council (HBEDC) will focus on grants, business and economic development, tourism strategy, and promoting a business-friendly environment.

Both organizations play important and complementary roles in supporting a vibrant Horseshoe Bend.

As this transition is implemented, the HBEDC asks for the public’s patience and understanding. Our goal remains unchanged: to promote and grow Horseshoe Bend and to serve as a positive, outward-facing communication and marketing platform for the community.

To support that mission, HBEDC communication channels will remain focused on constructive, forward-looking, and professional content. Negative, hostile, or personal commentary is not aligned with this purpose and should remain in local discussion or gossip forums rather than on HBEDC’s marketing platforms.

We look forward to continued collaboration, thoughtful growth, and showcasing Horseshoe Bend as a welcoming place for businesses, visitors, and residents alike. — in Horseshoe Bend.
