Mustard Seed Nursery and Landscaping in Salem is hosting their first Home and Garden Show at the Fulton County Fair Grounds April 11 from 2 to 6 p.m.and 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m..
According to event organizer Renee Watts, the event will feature more than 30 vendors, educational demonstrations, activities for kids and more.
“Being on the square In Salem, you see a lot of new people coming to the area. It really is a good place to get away from the bigger residential areas. They’ll come to the nursery to buy products and talk about what’s in the area. They’ll ask where to find things and that gave me the idea to host a home and garden snow,” Watts said. “This is a good way to bring people together and showcase what is available in the area.”
Watts said there will be several demonstrations during the event, provided by employees of the Fulton County Extension Office.
“We have one that will be on Canning Dos and Don’ts and then there will be a demonstration on straw bale gardening, and I will do a demonstration about plants,” Watts said. “We will also have food trucks, kids activities, black smith demonstrations, a kids train and the event is free to attend.”
Watts said there is still vendor space available, to reserve a spot, contact Renee Watts at 870-656-7724or stop by the Mustard Seed Nursery and Landscaping on the Salem square.
Proceeds from this event will be used to benefit the Fulton County Master Gardeners.
