There is good news for taxpayers in several counties in northern Arkansas following an announcement by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Sanders has signed an executive order extending the tax filing deadline in counties impacted by the March 14 storms and tornadoes.
In the order, Fulton, Izard, Sharp, Lawrence, Randolph, Baxter, Stone and Independence counties are included that will extend the tax filing date and tax payment date from April 15 to July 31.. This relief includes return and extension payments between now and July 31.
Provisions in the act also include vehicle registration and licensing and title fees.
