A warrant has been issued calling for the arrest of a Fulton County man following an incident May 27 when 31-year-old Deonte Scott attacked a female bashing her head on the back of his four-wheeler, throwing her into the river and later biting her face.

According to the affidavit for warrant of arrest, Fulton County Deputies Blair Ables and Phil Story responded to a 911 call from a witness on 9 Mile Ridge Road who stated he could hear a cry for help, went to see what was happening and witnessed a man and woman in an altercation.

When authorities arrived, they spoke with the victim who was holding an ice pack to her face and stated Scott had bitten her in the face. Due to the severity of her injuries, an ambulance was sent to the scene.

The victim stated initially, there was no confrontation taking place until she said words Scott did not want to hear and he became angry.

The victim said Scott began bashing her head on the back of his four-wheeler and threw her in the water. At one point, the victim lost consciousness and woke up in the river after being thrown a second time.

The victim said she was unsure how she ended up back in Scott’s presence but while crossing the bridge, Scott grabbed her neck and bit her face.

After the attack, Scott fled the scene on foot. Through a check of the Arkansas Crime Information Center, it was discovered Scott has previously been convicted of four or more felonies, many of which were violent crimes.

Scott has been charged with aggravated assault, a class D felony and an enhancement has been added due to him being a habitual offender.
