There are certainly no shortage of events to attend this weekend and into early next week as the community rings in fall.

The Spooktacular weekend kicks off in Mammoth Spring Oct. 28 and 29. There will be a homecoming parade, alumni meet and greet, homecoming games and a costume contest. For more informtaion, visit the Mammoth Spring Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page. 

First Baptist Chruch in Mammoth Spring will hold a Trunk or Treat Oct. 29 during the Mammoth Spring Spooktacular from 4 until 8 p.m. on Main Street in Mammoth Spring.

A Fall Festival will be held Oct. 29 from 11 unti l2 at the Wideman Schoolhouse near Oxford… BBQ will be served from 11 to 1, music from Roger and Ronnie Fountain at 1.. Donations will be appreciated but are not required. Proceeds will be used for the Wideman Schoolhouse Renovation Fund. For more information, contact Melissia Jones at 870-751-3690.

A Festival of Fright will be held Oct. 29 from 2 until 7 at the Ash Flat Community Center. Games, food, prizes, costume contest and activities for all ages. 

A Harvest Fest event will take place at the Ash Flat Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Oct. 29. Games, food, prizes, a chili cookoff, pie contest, trunk or treat and more will take place. For more information call or text 870-751-0880.

The Cherokee Village United Methodist Men will hold a Boo Fest Oct. 29 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.at 21 Otter Drive in Cherokee Village. The event will feature bounce house, games, prizes, food and more. For more informtaion call 870-257-3869.

The Highland Elks Lodge will hold a Trail or Treat event Oct. 29 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Tohi Trail in Cherokee Village. There will also be a free hot dog, drink and chips for ages 12 and under. All older than 12 will be by donation.

The Hardy Fire Department and businesses in Hardy will hold a Trick or Treat event Oct. 29 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. candy and prizes will be given away. Parking is available at Bills Cash Saver and Trick or Treating dowm Main Street will run concurrently.

The Evening Shade Community Events present an evening to enjoy Oct. 29 beginning at 5 p.m.with hay rides followed by a showing of the movie Hocus Pocus at 7 p.m. at the pavilion on main street. Concessions will be availabe and those who attend are encouraged to bring a blanket and lawn chair. 

Crossroads Baptis Church will host a Trunk of Treat Oct. 30 beginning at 6 p.m. Free hotdogs, chips, hot chocolate, candy and more will be given away.

T&T Gymnastics will hold a Trunk or Treat event Oct. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. at their location at 3606 Hwy 62/412 in Hardy.

Crossroads Baptist Church in Ash Flat will hold a Trunk or Treat Sunday Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.

The Ash Flat Church of Christ will hold a Trunk or Treat Oct. 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m at the chruch.

The Oxford Baptist Church will hold a Trunk or Treat event Oct. 30 beginning at 6 p.m. Anyone who would like to come and set up is welcome. Hot dogs and chips will be served.

Fellowship Souther Baptist Church will hold an old-fashioned harvest fest Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. The event will feature outdoor worship, food, games, bounce houses, cake walk, and more. Attendees are encouraged to dress in old fashioned clothes and to bring a lawn chair.

A Trunk or Treat will be held Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Beatles Park on Abbey Road in Walnut Ridge.

A Trunk or Treat Trail will be held Oct. 31 beginning at 6 p.m. at 175 U.S. Hwy 63 in Hardy. The event will feature hayride, bounce house, monster movie marathon and more. Anyone who would like to volunteer or to set up may do so and must be ready and set up no later than 5:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by That’s what She Shed, Kozey’s Country Market, Hardy Hot Dog, Blues Station and Expressions Graphics.

The Horseshoe Bend Library will have Halloween goodie bags for the kids through Halloween. The library is located a 9 Club Road in Horseshoe Bend.

The Salem Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Trunk or Treat event Oct. 31 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Individuals and businesses are welcome to set up a trunk and hand out candy. Those setting up need to be on the square by 5 p.m.that day. To get registered, visit the Salem Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page. 

Trick or Treat on Main Street in Evening Shade will take place from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Oct. 31.Hot dogs will be provided by the Evening Shade V.F.W. Post 8042.
