E-Communications is set to hold the annual Country Cares for Kid’s St. Jude Radiothon. This annual radiothon aims to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In previous years, the radiothon has raised $200,000 or more. On February 9, 2022, E-Communications will attempt to raise $240,000, with all proceeds going back to the hospital.
Timothy Eckman, Co-Owner and General Manager of E-Communications, says, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be carrying on the annual tradition of raising money for the children at St. Jude.” Eckman said, “So many children are affected by childhood cancer, including some in our local area. We look forward to all donations we receive on February 9.”
The radiothon will begin Feb. 9 at 6 am and run until 10 pm on Anywhere, Anytime Kkountry 95.1FM and 1290 AM and 103.7 FM “The Gift.”
100.9 FM “The Train” will also feature occasional cut-ins throughout the day.
Our livestream for all three stations will be available on our website, EcommNewsNetwork.com.
Bob Eckman, President and CEO of E-Communications says, “We are blessed to live in this part of the country where we see such passion for a great cause. People who can least afford always give the most.” Eckman said “I continue to be amazed year after year the sacrifices people make for the kids of St Jude.”
The annual radiothon is made possible by Andrew Eckman Shelter Insurance in West Plains, Hirsch Feed and Farm Supply in Thayer and West Plains, and Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC West Plains.
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for catastrophic pediatric diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family’s ability to pay.
