The Cherokee Village United Methodist Church is holding a rummage sale May 16 and 17 at the church located at 21 Otter Drive in Cherokee Village.
According to Church Secretary Glenna Adovasio, this year’s event will feature some additions.
“We’re going to have our rummage sale again this year and we have even more items than last year. This year we’ve decided to add a twist. We’re very community focused and so this year we’re adding vendors and a food truck,” Adovasio said. “We have several vendors coming Saturday and they’re going to be bringing pottery, candles, many new items that can be purchased as well as the New Moon Food Truck.”
On Friday, May 16, the event will only feature the rummage sale and will be open from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17 however; the rummage sale, vendors and food trucks will all be open to the public.
“We have our Vacation Bible School every year at Old Kia Kima and the money we raise though the rummage sale will go to supplement the VBS. We’ve also been doing a Thanksgiving event for many years and this year we’ll be doing our Thanksgiving bags again. Part of the money will go to help buy food,” Adovasio said.
