The Cutie-Pie Pup Parade will again be held during the Arkansas Pie Festival at the westside stage in Cherokee Village Town Center on Saturday, April 25th, beginning at 12 Noon. Dogs can be signed up for the Cutie-Pie Pup Parade in advance, or at the table located just inside the festival admissions gate.

Dogs must be on a leash or harnessed. Contributions during the event are appreciated, and all proceeds go to Supporters ofthe Cherokee Village Animal Shelter (501c3). Some of the adoptable animals that benefit from funds raised through thisevent will be introduced by emcee Dan Milligan.

During the subsequent parade of pups, honored judges Nancy and Estel Jeffery will determine winners in ten categories including best waggly tail, largest, smallest, best costume, and best trick. All Cutie-Pie Pup Parade participants receive ‘Good Dog!’ purple ribbons…along with a lot of attention, of course. Pet costumes are welcomed but not required.

Previous ‘Best in Show’ winners…2023-Buck, 2024-Hiccup, and 2025-Charlie Brownare also expected on stage to congratulate this year’s top dog. Once again, he or she will be the recipient of a Personal Pup Portrait by Cherokee Village artist Michelle O’Keefe Zebott.

This year’s event also heralds an eleventh award category sponsored by Little Paws Pet Care: The Peoples Pup! While our esteemed judges tabulate their nominations, audience members will vote for their favorite entrant based solely on personal choice.

Arkansas Pie Festival

Organizers of the Arkansas Pie Festival are pawsitivelythrilled that so many well-behaved dogs have attended previous festivals, and it is hoped that they will return and bring friends to Cherokee Village Town Center for this year’s festival.

The Arkansas Pie Festival is hosted by the Spring River Innovation Hub in Cherokee Village. The day’s events begin at 8:30 a.m. with a scenic Pie Day 5k Run/Walk.

The festival itself begins at 9:00 a.m., and features professional bakers from throughout Arkansas, as well as home chefs and youth bakers. There will be live music, pie tasting and pie eating contest, pie auctions, and so much more, ending at 3:00 p.m. Festival proceeds support the Spring River Innovation Hub’s STEAM education opportunities in this rural community, including arts and robotics summer camps, career exploration events, and small business marketing.
