Sharp County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation,announced $25,000 in Giving Tree grants for nonprofits in Sharp County at the Foundation’s annual Giving Tree grant reception. The nonprofit organizations receiving grants were selected for their contributions to the Sharp County community.

We are able to spend time with each of the grant recipients and see up close the work they are doing in Sharp County,” said Dan Milligan, executive director of the Sharp County affiliate. This year was the largest dollar amount provided by Giving Tree grants in the history of Sharp County Community Foundation.This is possible because of the support we receive from ourSharp County families and businesses.

“Our Giving Tree program is our flagship grantmaking program. It represents our commitment to and the importance of local decision making to meet local needs,” said Heather Larkin, president and CEO of the Community Foundation. “Funding for our Giving Tree grants comes from individuals and familieswithin our affiliate areas who want to improve their community. These endowments provide a permanent source of funding for local charitable causes.”

The grant recipients included Safe Night Ministries, The CALL in Sharp County, Mission of Hope, Cave City First Assembly Food Pantry, City of Cave City, Timely Club, Cave City Library, Stop the Cycle, Arkansas Imagination Library, and CASA – Gateway 3rd Judicial District.

Sharp County Community Foundation makes grants through the Giving Tree program annually. The next grant cycle will begin January 10, 2026.
