“Our pool is right at the half-century mark. Despite our best efforts, it still has some concrete stains, leaks some water, and doesn’t always cooperate with us. BUT the water is great, and the health department says we are good to go! We’ve made continual progress lately, and it’s helping,” said Cave City Mayor Jonas Anderson.
“It has been a struggle to open, but if you’ll be patient with us, we will do our best to keep improving and doing all we can to make it available to you as much as possible. Our employees have been incredible, and our contractor partners have been a huge help. I can’t thank them all enough.
Thanks for your support and encouragement along the way!” Anderson said.
The Cave City Pool is opening!
Because it’s better late than never … this morning we received final Department of Health approval to OPEN the city pool!
Opening Saturday, June 5th (yes, tomorrow) at the hours below.
We will also feature a night swim, open to everyone, from 6:00pm – 10:00pm for June 5th.
This has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone, including those with public pools. We have done our best to make the pool available this season, and we hope you’re able to come and enjoy it. Please be patient with us and especially our lifeguard staff as we open, and continue to adjust and improve as the season progresses. Due to the continuing chlorine shortage, we are not selling season passes. Concessions will be available starting next week.
We are determined to keep the pool open for you, as long as the chlorine will last, and we hope to see you soon!
