The Cave City Kiwanis is hosting a Back to School Bask and is asking for the community’s help.
According to Jill Carr with the Cave City Kiwanis, donations are needed to help stuff backpacks for the event.
“We need help in proving our students in need with the essentials to have a successful start to a great year,” Carr said.
The event, slated for Aug. 12 will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cave City High School Gym.
When asked how the community could support the event, Carr said there are many ways.
“We will be stuffing the backpacks on Aug. 6 but we’re accepting love offerings to help buy the school supplies, items students may need may be donated, you can donate your time and help stuff backpacks or help pass them out on the day of the event and you can donate your services for the event,” Carr said. “Any donations we receive above the need for this year will be used for next year’s event.”
