A Cave City man is being held in the Sharp County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash only bond after being charged with rape, a class Y felony.
62-year-old Gene P Burris was taken into custody March 18 by authorities and has been held in the Sharp County Jail.
On March 25, conditions of Burris bond noted he is not to have any contact with the victim, nor any child under the age of 19.
Although documents in the case are sealed, the charge stems from an incident which took place between early February and mid March of this year.
