A man now faces the charge of sexual assault in the second degree, a class B felony in Izard County.

According to court records filed March 16, 19-year-old Alexander Ruben Browning was booked into the Izard County Detention Center in the early morning hours and released the same day after posting a $20,000 bond.

“A person commits sexual assault in the second degree if the person engages in sexual contact with

another person who is incapable of consent because he or she is mentally incapacitated. Sexual

Assault in the Second Degree, if committed while the victim is unable to consent due to being

mentally incapacitated is a class “B” Felony in violationof A.C.A. 5-14-125(a)(2)(C), against the

peace and dignity of the State of Arkansas.”
