A couple from Glencoe, 41-year-old Dennis Kemp Jr., and 53-year-old Elizabeth Jane Austin after Fulton County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a breaking and/or entering of a Bitcoin machine.
The incident occurred at the Valero in Glencoe after the store manager discovered that his employees had vandalized and broke into the Bitcoin machine, stealing approximately $13,000 in Bitcoin.
Video evidence depicting both Austin and Kemp Jr., damaging the machine and breaking into it.
Kemp could be seen drilling the lock on the machine, and then the money from the registers and safe being used by both individuals to purchase Bitcoins from the machine.
The same money was fed through the machine multiple times creating a purchase of over $5,000 but less than $25,000.
Bond for Austin and Kemp Jr., were set at $15,000 each, Austin has since bonded out.
