Horseshoe Bend, AR – Beta Sigma Phi held a ceremony to commemorate the loss of long-time member Donna McCarty, 93, who passed away in December 2025. The sister-membersgathered at Faith Presbyterian Church on Jan. 20, 2026, and June DeLair, chapter president, led the group in commemoration and goodbyes. Debbie Akers, Donna’s daughter, was supported by all, stories were shared and new memories made. Donna was remembered as having lived a rich life that touched many with purpose and humor. Following the event, Beta Sigma Phi made a donation to the Horseshoe Bend Animal Wellness organization in remembrance of Donna, as she had a life-long love of pets.
