An arrest warrant has been issued and charges have been filed against a Batesville man in Sharp County.
Although the affidavit in the case has been sealed, documents filed June 5 in Sharp County show 27-year-old Edward Baires-Reyes has been charged with Rape- forcible compulsion and sexual assault in the first degree.
The charges stem from an incident in late May of this year.
Rape is a class Y felony and sexual assault in the first degree is a class A felony.
