The Ash Flat Library’s fall book sale and silent auction which took place October 1, 2022, was a resounding success. The book sale is one of the Library’s major fund raisers for the year. Library Manager Susan Funnell wanted to thank key contributors to the event’s win, “We want to thank the people for coming out.”
Friends of the Ash Flat Library volunteer Anita Hawkins coordinated the event and worked with a dedicated group of volunteers to make it happen. Funnell said, “We’d like send a big thank you to Anita for doing a great job organizing the book sale and a big thank you to our volunteers!”
Jo Siebert was a winning bidder in the library’s first-ever silent action. “I’m really excited to be able to support the library and add cookbooks to my collection at the same time. They always do such a super job — Susan, Anita, and the wonderful Friends of the Library volunteers. This year, the Library added a silent auction to the sale, so I got books I love and was able to add a teriffic piece of art to my wall at the same time,” Siebert said. “This is such a great library – constantly coming up with good ideas for the community. I can’t wait to see what they do next!”
Friends of the Ash Flat Library expressed their thanks. “Thank you for stopping by our sale. We appreciate you and hope that you enjoy your books! Another thank you to the artists that donated their artwork for the silent auction. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to the volunteers that helped make the book sale possible.”
