Highland Assembly of God will host a Mega Sports Camp Fundamentals from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., July 10 July 13.
There is no cost to attend and there are a variety of options for children ages preschool to 6th grade may participate in.
According to Barbie Chafin with Highland Assembly of God, activities include cooking, outdoor recreational games, baseball/softball, basketball, flag football, cheer or volleyball.
Concessions will also be available during “snack time”, small groups or “huddle groups” will also be held as well as large group rallies at the church from 5 to 8 p.m., each evening Monday through Thursday the week of the event.
Chafin said kids who attend will learn basic skills regarding the sport they choose and have the opportunity to make new friends, hang out with old friends and learn about Jesus.
A new addition this year is a group for preschool age children who will have their own classes and game to play throughout the week.
Chafin noted that preschool aged children must be potty trained and able to follow directions in order to participate.
