Travis E. Duke, 28, of Charlotte faces felony charges following his arrest the week of Dec. 28 regarding sex crimes against children.
According to an affidavit for warrant of arrest, Duke faces three counts of sexual assault in the second degree, a class B felony; sexually grooming a child, a class D felony and indecent exposure.
The charges stem from an investigation that began in August of 2022, when authorities were made aware of an alleged sexual assault.
According to the report the victim, a young, juvenile female, stated Duke had touched her inappropriately on multiple occasions and shown her pornographic images.
Authorities were finally able to make contact with Duke in September of 2022. During the interview, Duke attempted to portray himself as the victim, however; due to Duke’s size, age and other factors, authorities deemed his claims unlikely.
